Grading Rules

That KYU Grades shall have a minimum of 3 months between each Grade, with training at least twice per week.

That 1st KYU to 1st DAN shall be 6 months before taking Grading and Members must also be a full 1st KYU before taking the 1st Dan Grading.

Temporary 1st KYU must wait 3 months before taking a 1st KYU again then a further 6 months before being eligible to take Shodan.

Shodan to Ni-Dan - Minimum time of 2 years.

If any Member fails a Grading, they have to wait a further period of time as stated by the examiner.

Members found to be breaking the Rules of Grading times shall not be recognised by the I.T.K.A. GB.

In the progression up to and including 1st KYU, Members must have had at least one Grading under a I.T.K.A. GB Examiner.

That all Karateka must hold a Current Licence and Record Book before they can take a Grading.
