The I.T.K.A.
Liverpool Shotokan Karate Club was founded in May 2003
(previously known as A.C.F. Shotokan Karate Club)
by the Senior Instructor Sensei Ken Tsai (4th Dan - Yondan).
Sensei
Ken Tsai has many years of experience in karate having started
training in 1987,
throughout this time Sensei Ken Tsai has competed in many karate
tournaments
and progressed into instruction by opening his own
dojo
this
allows him to pass on his knowledge and skills to his students.
Sensei Ken Tsai is also a qualified judge and referee and has
been for over 15 years.
Sensei
Ken Tsai has had the privilege of refereeing at international
level including the J.S.K.A. World Open Championships 2008.
In April 2010 the I.T.K.A. Liverpool Shotokan Karate Club along with Preston
Karate Club (under Sensei Albert Timothy 6th Dan)
became
affiliated to the I.T.K.A. by forming the I.T.K.A. Shotokan Karate of Great Britain.
Since the forming the club in 2003, the club has produced
numerous Dan Grades ranging from 3rd Dan to 1st Dan black belts.
Sensei Kenneth Tsai was a former member
of the K.U.G.B.
(Karate Union of Great Britain).
